Sources
This site is a secondary source. Where a claim matters, check it against the primary text — these are the ones worth bookmarking.
Primary legislation
- Regulation (EU) 2024/1781 — Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR). The framework that creates the Digital Product Passport. Chapter III is the DPP.
- Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 — Batteries Regulation. Creates the battery passport, ahead of and separate from ESPR.
- Regulation (EU) 2019/1020 — Market surveillance and compliance of products. Defines the economic operator roles that determine who carries the obligation.
European Commission
- Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation — Commission overview. Tracks working plans and delegated acts as they are adopted.
- Sustainable product policy & ecodesign — DG GROW.
Standards and identifiers
- CEN-CENELEC — the harmonised standards for DPP data carriers and identifiers are being developed here.
- GS1 Digital Link — the most widely deployed way to make a product identifier resolve to a web resource from a QR code.
PrestaShop
- PrestaShop developer documentation.
- PrestaShop on GitHub — when the docs are ambiguous, the source is not.
- PrestaShop build blog — release notes and version support.
A caution about secondary sources. A great deal of DPP commentary online — including from vendors selling DPP products — states delegated act dates with a confidence the underlying documents do not support. If a date is not traceable to the Official Journal or a published Commission work programme, treat it as an estimate no matter how firmly it is stated. That applies to this site too.
